I am very much a design, multimedia and programming hybrid, and a large portion of my time there is spent providing tech support and training in practically every art and technology necessary for a newspaper.com.

As one of the three founders of WG, my responsibilities included 2D & 3D Illustration, Desktop Publishing, Interactive Multimedia, and Technical and Network Support for our systems.

Graphic Artist/Trainer/Network Support – SAIC, McLean, VA, 7/92 – 8/94
Macintosh computer graphics specialist for SAIC’s Corporate Publications Division. Daily use of all major Mac graphics applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, FreeHand, PageMaker, Persuasion, and many others. Responsible for Computer Training of all graphic artists in the department as well as Network Management. Technical Support for over 50 Macs. each with a different artist connected to it(!), nightly backups, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Also supervised all jobs that went to press, checking for accuracy and correct pre-press.

Mac system consultant for many regular clients in the Washington DC Metro area. Offer System Purchase Advice, System Setup/Debugging, Networking Assistance, Data Backup & Recovery, and Hardware & Software Training.

Audio Engineer – SoundTrax Recording Studios, Raleigh, NC, 8/85 – 11/89
Audio engineer for a highly successful 24-track recording studio. Recording engineer for national, regional, and local TV/Radio. Recording/mixing engineer for national and regional music acts. Composer and Performer of music used in regional and local TV/Radio and Corporate A/V presentations. Extensive knowledge and use of the AMS/Neve Audiophile direct-to-disk digital recording system, large format mixing desks, signal processors of all flavors, complex MIDI systems and 2 to 24-track analog recorders. Also responsible for maintenance and repair of the studio’s equipment, as well as assisting in the design, wiring and construction of the studio’s new recording facilities.
